I sometimes go to a Britney Spears message board to see what people are saying about her. Does this mean I should join the Britney Spears fan club?
I read football news at ESPN.com. Does this mean I should subscribe to their premium services?
I like to cook and visit websites for recipes, but does that mean I should join a mailing list and get a bunch of mail I don't want just because I want to find a good recipe for Chicken Kiev one day?
Some people are joiners. Some people are not. We should be giving people incentives to join thru fellowship, fun, news and information that makes them want to join, not to restrict their abilities to join in the fun without always being pushed to join and by the negative energy some of the long-term old-timers exhibit towards newcomers or anyone with a new idea that could even remotely address the issue of change.
