I have no opinion on this issue, but you are clearly bumping up against a brick wall. Some people for whatever reason refuse change for the sake of refusing change. Even proposing an idea as intellectual curiosity is too much for some to consider. I agree, this is a pity. We can argue, discuss and debate this issue all day, but I don't see a change happening. However, I support that you should be able to bring up the topic and discuss it with anyone who wants to do so. If anyone chooses not to participate, there are other things they can be doing with their time besides trying to convince you that your effort is futile. You already know that.
