last night i was playing a re-buy tournament on AP (should've known better!) just after the buy ins finished i am just to right of button and call the ante (with no raises) with A2 of clubs. about seven callers. flop comes Ah 10d 2s everybody checks round to me, i dont want to risk a check in such late position so bet the pot (800) guy on the button calls and raises and straddle also calls all bets, everyone else passes. i re-raise and button raises again all in, player to his left also goes all in and so do i. cards are revealed button has A3 and straddle AK (neither raised pre flop!) so i am breezing it basically but the button had been raising a pot he was rank last in and with virtually no chance of winning. he had been re-raising with A3 against a caller and a raiser when any card higher than 3 had to have him beat and less than 3 also beats him. he must have known this yet kept re-raising on the strength of his ace. fourth street comes a rag and then the river produces surprise surprise a 3!! gutted does not do it justice!
