OK, it is once again time for our Chip Board horse racing fans to put their chips where there mouths are and prove to all who the best handicapper of our group is!

Here is the way the contest will work:

Below is a link to The Breeders Cup home page. You can view all the races/entries/morning lines there. You can also download, for free, the past performances of every horse in every race. Please note that this year, The Breeders Cup has expanded to 11 races, 3 on Friday, and 8 on Saturday.

You have a $100 "virtual" bankroll with which to make your wagers. YOU MUST MAKE AT LEAST 5 DIFFERENT WAGERS. You may only make wagers that are accepted at the track (Monmouth). If you go over $100 in bets, I will declare invalid any bets that sequentially put you over the $100 threshhold. You cannot use a non-Breeders Cup race in your wagers.

The player who amasses the largest bankroll will win the Palms $8 "Year of the Horse" chip pictured below and the title of Chipboard Handicapping Champion of 2007. I will use the actual Monmouth payouts to figure your total.

The contest is open to CCGTCC club members only, and non-members who promise to join the club asap. Please put your name and membership number somewhere in your reply header. When selecting a wager please specify the DAY (F for Friday or S for Saturday), the race number (8,9 or 10 on Friday 4-11 on Saturday), the type of wager (standard abbreviations-W, P, S, DD Tri etc. OK) and the NAME of the horse (not the number, to avoid any rookie confusion, lol). For instance, if you would like to bet $2 across the board on Tiago in The Classic, the wager should look something like this:

S-11 $2 WPS Tiago

That wager would cost you $6 and you would have $94 left. This would count as 3 wagers (the win, place and show wager).

We will accept up to 25 entries. I am reserving one for myself, and one for my 12 year old nephew and aspiring Todd Pletcher apprentice JD. That leaves 23 available entries.
