Paul, for what you need one for, I would say that any laptop in the $500-$750 range would be good. All you need is built in wireless, good memory and lots of HD space. I am on my 2nd Sony Vaio laptop and have been very happy but they are kinda high. I would think an HP or equalivant would suit your needs.
