they definatly do NOT have a vinigar smell and they are not imploding.
Will the nail laquer stop this completely or do all old dice eventually deteriorate with time? Could old dice be better in lucite and would lucite even work?

On an "oh crap" note, after your post i went to smell the dice for the vinigar smell you wrote about. I have the dice wrapped up in a paper towel by my computer monitor. I didnt see them and asked my wife if she moved them and she said they were in the garbage! I just dug em back out of a trash bag!!! Im glad you posted a response to my post, if you hadnt i wouldnt of realized they were gone till it was too late!!!
