As of just recently I have confirmed the existence of 6 of the Wrest Point plaques that you speak of. They are all the same as you see on that old website. They are the only legit casino plaques ever made in Australia under $25,000 denominations. Most of the Aussie casinos use plaques in their high roller rooms but as is the custom with our casinos they tend to like destroying things rather than canceling them & giving them out to employees or selling them off as souveniers. I am in Adelaide, South Australia and our casino, Sky City Adelaide has plaques from 25,000 up but as yet I have never seen them out in play. I’d guess private rooms only.
Regarding the jetons, I now know of 5 different 5’s (assumed to be 7) 2 different 2’s (again 7 assumed), 1 x 10 & 1 x 25, all from Wrest Point. They were the only casino the have French Roulette. Check out http://cashcoinconnection.com/gamingchipsAustralia/AU_WRE/Jetons/AU_WRE.html for all the scanned examples found so far. So far I only have 3 of them (all drilled). The 5’s are actually yellow but you know the drill with scanners!!!
The only other one I have ever found was the plaque below from Circle Elite Prive. This was an illegal private club in Syndey, NSW in the 70's. The person who sold me the plaque got it from a person in Sydney who worked for the newspaper that ran the story on the bust & eventual closure of the place. Apparently BetG have confirmed that they supplied the plaque but no more info on other denominations or wether jetons were made as well was not forthcoming.
