This V series replaces the older model of Perfection - the V500 is top of the line although there is the V750 with so much features that as chipper I don't need them or will ever use, with 6400 dpi it vividly shows everything - it has dust reduction which is also good. It came with Photoshop Element 4.0 which you can upgrade to the newest version 6 already out in the market, but not all sell them - actually in Las Vegas stores no one carries the version 6 yet. Version 6 is packaged with the Premier 4 which again I don't need the software. I have all of the Adobe softwares which I installed just to study them.

My Adobe Photoshop CS2 version 9.2. The scanner came with the Epson software which I have to learn - I have been using Photoshop since day one they came out. My HP 6300 lasted more 10 years - I am still using it but eventually will pasture it.
