The $1, $2.50, $25 and $100 have fake shaped inlays, just like the last rack. The $5 has a circle inlay, just like the last rack. The quarter has a round inlay, unlike the last rack, which was faux-shaped. 25c chips weren't even on any of the tables. I had to ask at the cage, but even the cage didn't have a bank of chips yet. I was able to get a very limited number. No Grand Re-Opening chip (MGM is so far behind Greektown and Motor City in LE chips). The quarter is bright orange just like the old rack, with red and dg yellow edge spots. My scanner doesn't pick up dg real well, so see digital photo below. In a stack, the quarter chips are pretty attractive, perhaps more so than the old rack, and I liked those alot. And yes, the $2.50 chip has a darker center...I'm wondering if they will correct that when they re-order.
The casino itself is pretty impressive...heaven on earth if you like slots. There seemed to be a fair amount of table games...more craps tables than at the old building. Black jack, roulette, Let it Ride, etc. The poker room is a joke. Its got plenty of room, but that's because there is only 8 tables... They were running $1/$2 on the only table...$50-$200 buyin. What sucks is that its up on the 3rd floor... across from a club... and its got a wide entry way (not just a standard door size opening)... and the club was playing loud bass music. I don't enjoy playing cards to bass thumping... I didn't see any LCD's, other than the ones displaying the waiting list... No private bar, no private cage, no private restrooms. I don't think I'll be playing there. At least than have human delaers, not Poker Pro tables...
