If anyone thinks the markup is high on these chips, even the 50ps, you haven't been to London lately. All the prices are outrageous these days, partly because of the low value of the dollar. I pass through Heathrow occasionally and sometimes have a few hours to kill and if it was almost anywhere else would probably hop the train into town and do a bit of casino visiting. There is a fast train, but it costs $60 roundtrip for the 15 minute ride which is a lot cheaper than the $250 roundtrip you'd pay in a taxi. Once you get to the train station, taking the tube to Piccadilly where this casino is will cost you another $6 each way. And feel like a snack? A burger and fries will set you back at least triple what it would cost in the U.S. You get the picture
