Yes, it applies to those here...BUT I would qualify that by stating that it applies to those who are here legally.
I was suspended from high school in '79 for wearing a f*ck Iran button. I'd wear it again today if I could find it.
We are living in dangerous times, my friend...I am proud to be an American, always have been and always shall be. But I am concerned. I feel that because of 9/11 and the events following it, that our 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, and 8th amendments to our constitution are being severely truncated at this point.
And yes, it's because of an American (albeit an idiot) that we all have to take our shoes off at the airports now.
Anyone on US soil is expected to abide by the laws of the USA. Period. And IMHO, this a$$wipe should never have been allowed to land here, much less speak.
Let's keep one thing in mind- to paraphrase one of the greatest Americans...Dr. Ben Franklin: "those who would give up essential liberties to gain temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security!"
And to be less-than-PC once again, I would add that not only do I support the Guantanamo bay detainment centers, I feel they are necessary and should be used to detain all muslims living here whether they are citizens or not until we figure out who is who. Keep in mind that the Taliban is really no longer in Afghanistan- they all marched freely across our borders and are living amongst us.
I'm all for civil liberties, but can you imagine what would happen if I made a speech expressing my views in Iran? I would be headless in about twenty minutes.
And for the record, I do not hold a valid NSDAP membership card, appearances to the contrary notwithstanding!
I'm sure you are aware that the CIA, NSA and FBI monitor these boards as well as chip collectors. Let my voice be thus heard. I stand by everything I state, and can back up my statements with historical facts and/or documents I possess.
