the Pai Gow Poker game in California Card Rooms (does not include Indian Casinos) does not bank the games or charge a 5% commission on winning hands. It makes its money by charging $1 per $100 bet per hand. An outside corporation (syndicate) banks and covers all bets (players are allowed to bank as well). Players are allowed to bet with the bank by betting against any one hand and paying the corporation a 5% commission for every bet, win, lose, or draw. The MB button is placed on top of the bet to signify this backwards bet.
The dealer check button is placed on a hand when the player asks for the dealer to set the hand according to "house rules".
