I believe the team with the best record in the AL has the option of getting an extra days rest in the middle of the series. It is a choice only 1 gets to decide. As a Cleveland fan this would be a huge advantage. They have the best 1 & 2 starters in the league right now. They can pitch these guys twice in a 5 game series on normal days rest. CC has 18 wins and Carmona has 17 wins with some of the best ERAs in the league with 10 days to go. Watch out if they get this option. A week ago it looked they would play Boston with the best record and Boston would have this choice. Now the tables have changed, but there is still 10 days to go...
