I just picked up 9 of the chips below (one for me, and then some for trade). Both have the same Bally's side, but there are 2 different reverse versions as in the scan - the one on the right is a gold ring around the edge (scan doesn't show this well).

My question is that I assume that Bally's had an involvement in the chips as samples otherwise there would be some sort of breach of copyright laws by using their name. But I can't find any chips similar to these in TCR so my next assumption is that although the samples were produced, they were never made into a production run of NCV chips. Can anyone confirm or deny these assumptions? I'm really just curious as to what use the samples may have been ordered for, and what (if any) were used instead.

If anyone is interested I have one of the gold ring versions and 6 of the silver ring versions for trade (maybe sale?)
