Well thought out and said. I agree wholegheartedly with most of the points and disagree vehemently with others made in this enormous post.
I feel compelled to weigh in on this topic for couple of reasons, the severity of the act and cowardice of the perportrators.
Severity - while I know some Muslims, I do not know the Muslim faith at all. I find it hard to believe that educated people can not be rational and accepting of other points of view. Why must they preach a radical form of their religion to the "poor souls" that are uneducated and desperate. Because eductaed and rational people see right through their arguements. They have to attack so called "soft targets" because they realize that they can not fight a "conventional" fight to get their point across to others. These so called "soft targets" that they seek out are only meant to sensationalize their cause and demoralize us. Well as we remain vigilant, and we must, in protecting our "soft targets" as best we can, they will not succeed. Through educating people, events like these may be prevented.
Cowardice - Unlike conventional militia recruiting, these jihad recruiters have no real experience in what they are selling to their poor, unfortunate recruits. Why can't they (the recruiters) speak from expereince becasue they are cowards and they need someone else to do their bidding. Poor fools that get drawn into this fate!! How many suicide bombers have completed multiple successful missions. My guess would be NONE since it's a one and done deal, thankfully.
On this day to remember the unfortunate innocent people and families tragically impacted by the events of September 11th 2001, I say NEVER FORGET!!!
Regards,
Steve
