The member who guesses the closest amount saved by Dawn and Rick from mid August 2007 until June 4th 2008,without going over will receive,from the new Starlight Casino in New Westminster British Columbia Canada,the new $1.00 and $5.00 chips as well as as many different harvested roulettes that I can muster up from the casino.IF there is a GRAND OPENING CHIP...you will also receive that as well.So...at least two new chips and up to perhaps as many as 10.
These chips will be given out to the winner at next years convention,OR...if the winner does not make it to the convention,then I will mail them.
Even though I am saving in Canadian dollars,there will be no currency exchange on the total.If I save $100,then that is the total.
NOW FOR THE BIGGIE:As you know,we have tried hard to get people to cut out a spending vice or two for the next 10 months so that they would have a ton of extra money to spend on whatever they want at the convention.We have several members who are willing to bite the bullet and give up some of those vices,so we have decided to award the grand prize of a buy in to the club poker tourney next year to one of THOSE contestants.
All of the "savers" who have sent in pictures of themselves with their banks,will be asked to open their banks on June 4th,2008 and email me to tell me how much they saved.
I will draw a name out randomly from amongst them and the winner will get the main prize.BUT....the winner must be at the convention to get that prize as this is the whole point of the contest right?
IF that person has already entered the tourney then their buy in will be refunded from me OR...if they want I will give them the equivalent in casino chips to spend whichever way they want.
I will be purchasing two tourney entries as soon as I can so One will be reserved for the winner.
I draw at random because I think that it is the fair way.This is not a contest to see how much a person can save,as some can save more than others:It is a fun plan to help members give up a "spending vice",and to save that money which they would have otherwise wasted so that they can buy what they want at the convention.

This is simply a fun thing and to be honest,I did it for three reasons:ONE:To give back to some of the people who have made me welcome into the club.TWO:To get people to realize that they spend a lot of money on things they don't really need(I have a basement full of that) and 3:I just wanted to see pictures of some of the people whom I see post on the board all of the time.
