I did win a few bucks at the $1/$2 NLH cash games but took a bad beat on my last hand. Here's the recap for those of you who like that sort of thing.
I'm in middle position with Jc-Js. The guy under the gun has been raising all day and sure enough he raises to $12. Two or three callers when it gets to me. I just call the $12. The button sees 5 callers and raises it another $25. Two guys call when it gets back to me. I raise it another $125. The button calls and we're heads-up. It's a dream flop as you might imagine. Jd-7h-2c. Both of us have about $500 in front of us. I lead out and bet $100 figuring he's got pocket aces or kings or maybe he called the pre-flop raise with big slick. He calls. The turn is a 3h. I bet $200, leaving me with about $65, and he calls. The river looks to be a harmless 6h. I go all in for my remaining $65 and he just has me covers. I show top set. He says, "I think I have you beat" and shows me Ah-Kh which gave him runner-runner hearts. Oh well.
