I started collecting chips after having bought racks of several different chips to make up a set for my home game. For example, I started with some non-denominated Fabulous Las Vegas fantasy chips for my 25 cent chips and got several hundred Olivia's Poker Hall chips for my 50 cent and $1 chips. I also have a bunch of $2 and $3 New Sonny's chips, $5 Emperor casino chips and racks from other casinos. I was building a home set like Dan, who posted above.

I later switched out the FLVs for chocolate brown 25 cent chips from the Horseshoe club and have now moved on to pink quarters from the Railroad Pass Casino.

But, by no means am I loaded! I just like playing poker with real Paulson chips. In fact, I can't justify holding onto the FLVs or the Horseshoe Club chips, and may even sell off a rack of the Railroad Pass pink ones also, to allow me to pursue other chips.
