Almost certainly destroyed--
I have had the misfortune of dealing with Nevada gaming, on two or three occasions in the last year, trying to get permission for a casino that was willing and anxious to do so to sell their chips to a client of mine rather than destroy them. They simply refuse to listen to reason and insist on destruction. Check the regs, you'll see that destruction is the preferred disposition unless the chairman agrees to something else and he just won't even listen. Sad---
