I use the 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 and have never had any bleeding. But I do use archival safe pages. In addition I do not staple my flips shut but rather fold the flip over the chip then close each side with an Avery 5/8 x 7/8 label. I leave the bottom unsealed so I can easily get the chip out if I need.
