I don't know the first thing about creating/ordering personal chips, but I know what I like.
Of the five chips I'm looking at I'm going to list the pro's and con's of each. Maybe someone could then help me in the design/ordering/manufacturing process.
So here goes... (I don't have pics cuz my roomie Christina's husband Will is in another of his, If you scratch my scanner with those stupid chips, you're buying it mode.
(1.) Shoop gave me a Splashbar III chip;
I liked the weight, mold, edgespots and the graphic area is great.
But it has David's Splashbar Logo on the Obverse and that's just not the chip for me right now. (Sorry David and Mr. Splashbar).
(2.) Shoop also gave me a Die-card molded chip;
I love the idea of having a mold, but I think the inlay may be a little too small for my artwork and info.
(3.) Joe Pavlik gave me a nice (chipco) style chip. Full graphics all the way to the edge with edge spots.
But I don't like the finish. Easily scratched IMHO.
(4.) Joel J. Reznick also gave me a nice (chipco) style chip with edge lettering!
But same as Joe's, I don't like the finish.
(5.) Archie Black supplied chips for all the folks who attended the Early Bird Banquet;
This one is very similiar to #(1.), but without the Splashbar stuff. It has a large enough area for my artwork and specific fonts.
I like this one best!
To start I think I'll only need 200 or so.
The Obverse side will be total artwork with name and logo, the Reverse will have my personal info.
The ideas I have for the obverse design are copywrighted.
I will submit designs only to folks who are really willing to bring my design to fruition.
Thanx
