New Collection Library Enhancements...

While talking with Richard Jezeski during the convention about the Collection Library, we came up with some ideas that might help folks in updating their database when dealing with items that have been traded away. One idea that we discussed was having a quick way for the user to update a data record to indicate it is no longer available for trade.

First off, you probably would want to log into your Collection Library account and generate a report of just your traders. This way you can have it handy with you during your trade session(s). When items are traded out of your collection, you could use that report to [x] out any items traded away. Next, you need to update your database to reflect those trades. So you could use that report after the trade session so that you know which items to update. I've added a special filter so that you can view only items in your trade list. Also added a quick entry popup so that you can the item is no longer available for trade.

Hopefully these new enhancements will make your lifes easier when it comes to updating your database after trade sessions.

I have modified the Admin Utility as follows:

  • 1. Added a new filter option so that you can view all data records or items published to specific pages (collection page, trader page, want list page).

  • 2. Changed the grid so that you can double click on an item that triggers a window to popup. This window allows you quick access to the fields that allow you to indicate the item is a trader or not.

  • 3. Also added a button on the screen that triggers this window too.

I've highlighted these new features in the screen shot below.
