A very good friend of of mine spent time in las vegas area in the 50's. HE happens to be black,not importan except, so he spent a lot of time at the MR. He has told me how it was back then. Segragation was not a good thing, but is part of our history. It is too bad places like the MR can not be preserved. It was a great place from what he says and full of great memories and lots of history. His stories of entertainers from the strip going there to hang out after work are great to hear. He was in the Navy at that time and many of his white friends would hang out there because it was more fun then the other clubs.
