As I explained I saw both racks of chips side by side. I only got a brief look and I thought the hotstamps were the same on the hat & canes as the NEVADA mold. Obviously they are not, but then why should they be? The hat & canes were made by Paulson. Borland would not have obtained PS dies in his acquisitions from Bud Jones, PS and BJ were 'arch enemies'
Below are some other scans of the PS chips.
I did not have a camera with me and even if I had have, no way would I have been allowed to photgraph them.
Now this is the info I was seeking:
Several people said they bought NEVADA mold chips from Jim Gillette c1991 and that they were genuine. I asked if anyone could post scans. I wanted to see if they are different from the ones I showed (however slight) just like the Brown Derby chips where I had genuine ones for comparison in my scan.
I am only interested in the NEVADA mold chips these people say they bought from Gillette and the others.
Now a couple other things come to mind
On the Nevada molds, 1 x $1, both $5's and the $25 all have identical inserts. When stacked and viewed from a b&w security camera, with 1978 technology, no way IMO could you tell them apart.
Look at the PS chips - they have differing inserts as real rack chips always do.
Next thing is that 2 of the NEVADA molds dont say 'Las Vegas' on them?? (ala Silver Slipper )
Lastly, I show again one of Borland's die tag boxes with b&w impressions on the labels. These ARE definitely the same hotstamps as the NEVADA mold chips shown below them.
All I want is someone to show me scans of what they bought in 1991, be they the same as mine or not. Then, maybe, the discussion can continue. Otherwise, as far as Im concerned, its 'done and dusted'
If anyone wants to purchase the hat & cane chips they are now on this page on my website:
