The club was an infant in 1991.
No web site and no Greg's BB.
Archie Black founder of CCGTCC jumped on Paul-Son for doing the same thing a few years later and got results!
"I see it already as people are dumping "Borlands" left and right on the board and eBAY."
Most are bringing good prices. There are many Borland collectors. The keys in the Borland sets go for REAL good $, some over $100 each. Many only had 100 made. We have some records on them. Only 100 people in the world can have a complete Borland set of the dated fantasy chips. Thats kinda rare IMO.
I first got involved in 1996. I've been crying "BORLAND-BORLAND" ever since.
Not sure if anyone was speaking out before that.
Have you ever seen David's site? Both Borland and Osborne chips are well documented there.
Changes are coming to the articles soon from just uncovered info. The articles are there for the world to see. Hopefully they will go on the new Club website with all the old records we uploaded, someday. I do bot ID Borland chips to demean them.
I think you are looking at this wrong.
Borland was a part of the history of our hobby and club. He did many good things to promote our hobby in the early days.
Identifing a new Borland, makes my day, any day of the week.
Hopefully my Boreland collection will reside in a CCGTCC Club house some day. Since David and I are partners in putting the collection together, it will be up to him also.
