The big outdoor upstate show--1,000 plus dealers at Bouckville is in progress. I waddled through the rain but this is what I found: few chips and dealers who had no idea of value. A partial set of cheap post war plastic chips in a case w/o the chest: asking price: $150; three jockey & rider chips (among the most common design clay chips): $45 (I asked the dealer what set the price and he said, "The're very rare."--which explains why I have four sets plus of them. A dealer had three advertising chips: 2 blue Stackleberg cigar and 1 blue Lorillard chip; each $40. An incomplete set of plain clays: asking price $125!
I did manage to find one ivory design chip I didn't have for $25 but that was the extent of the show...tho because it was raining I didn't try for all the tents.
