Let me add that as one of the newer folks here, I have my share of LE chips. Originally I started collecting the LE's simply because they were easy to obtain, but of the 200+ chips I now have, half are from casinos that date from 1990 and earlier (and in a few cases now date back to the late 30's and early 40's.) My own interests are in the older casinos simply because I have a fascination in that particular era, and enjoy picking up chips from the older casinos and from places that are just a memory now. I know with the current chips that the values are highly doubtful that I'd get better than face (except for the Main Street Mucha collection and the Paris pin-up trio).
We all have various interests and that's what makes collecting fun. Just like any other group of collectors (stamps, coins, etc.) there is something for everyone.
