It sure was great to see everyone that was there. I'd name names, but the list would be well into triple digits and I don't want to shame anyone who might have a positive reputation to maintain.
Top 10 lessons learned this year (in really no particular order):
1. Slots of Fun dogs turn into bricks about 1/2 hour later. They turn into something else later. Very bad idea!
2. Dim Sum at Ping Pang Pong in the Gold Coast is a great lunch option made even better with chipper buddies! (You guys know who you are!)
3. There are bargains to be found in the club auction except for the 6 items you care to bid on!
4. Sometimes practical jokes backfire.
5. You don't take as many chips home if you don't attend the trade sessions.
6. You don't want to get to the convention tables with slot glasses AFTER Doug Smith.
7. Bargain Bins Rock!
8. When you drink, sometimes you meet someone for the first time twice!
9. It's hard to hit every table on the first day when you stop and gab 45 minutes with everyone you know.
10. That blue stuff at the Splashbar, mmmmm.... it's an even worse idea than the Slots of Fun dogs.
