So anyway I like to drive everywhere and heading out to the Big Show at the Riv is definately ROADTRIP! time.
2173 miles this time. Hope you folks that have some of these towns in your collection but haven't actually seen the joints or the locations might find some value here.
I've actually
stayed in Jackpot but can't really recommend it as a destination. Club 93 is perfectly pleasant and there are always tables open and many many machines and an okay coffee shop.
Here we have next door neighbor, HorseShu. Back in the day when they invented this place, Horseshu was the town name. Don't care for this place much. You can see the hotel Horseshu maintains out in the back. Had me a lovely basement room there once with a view of the oil pans of the cars in the backside parking lot. Guess if you've got a steady stream of folks from Pocatello and Boise and Twin/Idaho/American Falls you don't worry much about supplying HorseShu hospitality. This fellow below must be a HorseShu dealer practicing up on his Stinkeye glare for the dayshift. Notice the nearby Club 93, you can casino-hop just like the strip! An appropriate activity is suggested on the sign to prepare for a HorseShu visit.
Okay. Just across the highway (93!). Little different story here (Jeez, sounds like the club auction!
). Cactus Pete's is the place to have fun in Jackpot. Slick casino and good food and good folks. If you've never seen Jerry Van Dyke in performance, Cactus Pete's is the place. See you down the road in Wells.
