I agree with everything everyone has written. Collect because you love it, not to make a killing and you will have a great time. Also, keep in the mind that the guides are estimating retail prices. You may not be able to get the same prices. In many cases, ebay sales are noticeably below guide prices. So, value is an elusive thing to begin with.
