My doctor thought I had a bad gall bladder and was running tests for that but when I went into the ER in the middle of the night doubled over in pain with a temp of 104 the ER nurse said: "you sure it's not your appendix that's bad???"
Next day my doctor and the surgeon said they were going to do some "exploratory surgery" and if my gall bladder was bad then it and my appendix were coming out but if it was a bad appendix then it was coming out by itself. Turns out my appendix was bad and had ruptured so out it came and in went a bunch of tubes! Five days later when my fever finally broke I got to go home! That was when I discovered that I really wasn't invincible after all!
Cheers!
