Ironically, I had mixed feelings myself about there being a casino in Wichita or slots at the dog track. On one hand I personally enjoy playing Blackjack for entertainment and I obviously enjoy collecting chips so it would have been nice to have it here. But on the other hand, I have a close family member who has a compulsive disorder and has had a gambling problem in the past which was only cured when this person became disabled and was no longer able to drive to Topeka, KC, etc. So it may be just as well it will be at arms length. With me living in Derby, I can be parked in the Sonic Drive-Inn in Wellington enjoying a Pickleo in under 30 minutes anyway!

After watching the news last night I think it will be built close to the turnpike on US-160. Should be a big shot in the arm for Wellington's economy.
