If anyone has made a reservation at the Orleans Casino/Hotel or is still looking for a cheap, clean, good room (good pool too!), I just received an email from the Orleans on "last minute August room specials"...Rates are:

Fri/Sat Aug 3rd/4th: $45 each night
Sun the 5th through Thursday the 9th: $35 each night

Friday the 10th: $140 (ouch!)
Sat the 11th: $155 (ewww!)

This might help you on a few nights, and if you already have a reservation - call the Orleans and have them match these price cuts.
