I am sitting here and I notice that my Bingo Ellie chips ($1 from the Palms) are not the same. Both the obverse and reverse seem to be the same (even centered within the white circle
). But along the edge I note that on one chip the year (2002) appear twice, and is sharp. The writing o the edge is upright when bingo ellie is face daown (the elephant faces the table). On the other chip one of the dates appear smudged (but not from any external factor such as water, but it appears to be off like an eye test may be off when adjusting). The dates also appear upright when bingo ellie is facing away from the table.
The question is, is it common for printing on the side of the chip to be 'uncrisp', and is the print on the side aliged to go one way or the other, or is it happenstance? I know some chips are intentionally set up to lie up for a design, but I am uaware of the bingo ellie's having any such aspect.
