I was lucky enough to meet the Manager at this casino that designed the token. He had saved several of these tokens and was kind enough to sell them to me. The tokens that I have are nice and bright uncirculated beauties. They have been handled a little bit, so they are not in "perfect" condition. $1 tokens are still in use at Fond-du-Luth Casino, however, most slot machines have recently become TITO. I believe this token was made primarily as a promotional item.

Duluth, MN is really a wonderful city to visit. It is located on the shore of Lake Superior. I highly recommend that you think about spending a weekend, or better yet, a long weekend in Duluth. Some of the many things to see/do in Duluth include:
Fond-du-Luth Casino - located downtown, this is a very friendly casino. Blackjack is the only table game in Minnesota, and it is offered at Fond-du-Luth. I noticed that this casino has a great number of brand new slot machines. Unlike the other casinos in Minnesota, Fond-du-Luth is not located "in the middle of no where". Many attractions are within walking distance of this casino.
