CC>CC 2007 Poker Tournament
at Palms Casino Resort

General Info
The 2007 CC>CC Poker Tournament will be held during the club's annual convention in Las Vegas. The tournament format will be NO-LIMIT Hold’em again this year, at popular request. This is the 9th annual Poker Tournament the club has sponsored. Pre-registration for the Poker tournament is encouraged -- see club magazine or website for details. Additional entries on the day of the tournament will be accepted on the convention floor, if space available. Wait-listed players will be seated in the tournament during the first hour, if seats become available.

The 5-piece set of 2007 tournament chips will be available for sale at the club table beginning on Friday, August 10, for $15 per set. Also available by mail -- see club magazine for order information.

Time & Place
Thursday evening, August 9, 2007, beginning at 7:00pm at Palms Casino Resort. Depending on the number of players, the tournament may last 4 to 5 hours or so.

Entry info
Entry fee: $100 per player. (Note: No optional rebuys or add-ons this year.)
Open to current CC>CC members and associate members ONLY. (Age 21+ of course.) Maximum 165 players (15 tables with 11 seats per table). Additional tables may be added if warranted and available for set-up. Each player receives 1300 in NCV tournament chips for entry fee.

Prize pool
$60 of each player entry goes into prize pool*, $30 to Palms for hosting the tournament, $10 for cost of one set of 5-piece 2007 tournament chips awarded to each player. (*3% of prize pool held for tournament staff.)

Prizes
First place winner receives custom-framed plaque with tournament chips, plus possession of the "traveling trophy" until the next tournament. Prize pool distribution: pays the final 18 players, splitting the prize pool based on a declining percentage. Distribution: 40%, 20%, 10%, 6.5%, 5%, 3.5%, 2.5%, 2%, and 1.5%, for 1st through 9th places…plus 1% each for 10th through 18th place. All entrants receive a set of tournament chips. (Chip sets available toward the end of the tournament, or pick them up on Friday at the club table on the convention floor.)

Poker Tournament Format
NO-LIMIT Texas Hold'em. Start with 1300 in tournament chips. No rebuys. Limits start at 15 & 30. Limits increased every 15 minutes of play. Minimum bet and raise increments equal to big-blind, unless all-in.
Tables & seats assigned randomly as registered. Tables will be consolidated periodically throughout the tournament. Finalists will be paid in the order of finish.
No refunds for no-shows. No-show chips will be blinded off, then picked up after 40 minutes of play if no player.

Tournament Play
Palms Poker Room tournament rules for this type of tournament will apply. Seat assignments, table combinations, rulings on play, etc. according to Palms Tournament Director, whose decision is final.
Also…Absolutely NO HARVESTING tournament chips.
