1) Someone comes in with a snipe bid, extending the auction . .
b) An unscrupulous seller tops it to extend the auction allowing for
iii) Someone comes in with a NEW snipe bid

Personally, I would rather just have the auction end on time and be done with it. I mean - it's an auction - sometimes you just don't win.
