Last Fri. opening day I go up to Cripple Creek, to get the new O'riley's chip's, this is opening day. I go to cashier, and ash to buy some chips, he said OK up to 20 each. They have 1.00, 5.00, 10.00, & 25.00. So I buy 65 chip's. Then I ask about the 10.00 chip's because I thought It was the first 10.00 chip ever in CO. ( later found out later in 1992 the now closed Richman had a ltm. Ed. 10.00 only 250 made with 2 vairations) So it turn's out the O'riley 10.00 chip is the 2nd, ever issued in CO., So I ask how many 10.00 chip's made. Cashier say's 700. I just about sold out my original chip purchase, so today I go back up for more chip's. The owner is in, and I again ask how many 10.00 chips made? He say's 70, I said the cashier told me 700, he explained the cashier think's in $ so 70X10 = $700.00. Mr. O'riely goes on to say the 10.00 chips were never intended for table play, just for collector's and good will. Now I go back and ask how many 10.00 chip's left ( I saw they seventy on Fri.) he tell's me all employee's purchased a couple on advise of owner, and now only 6 left. Well I got my six. Not for sale at this time, but the 10 people I sold them to for 12.50 each mailed got a real good deal. By the way, this small porker casino is in a bad location and the first 5 day's has had very few customers. Nice people, but no way are they going to make it. I give em 60 day's at most.
