A few more tips...
If this will be your first convention...
- Estimate the amount of money you think you will want to spend on chips and then at least double it. It is amazing how much great stuff is available
- Stay at the Riviera. Although it is far from the most desirable hotel and far from the most desirable location, the convenience of being at the convention is enormous and worth it (besides, you support the club too)
- Volunteer...you meet and get to know a lot of great people. Had I not volunteered at my first convention I would not have had the tremendous honor and privilege of meeting Rick Miner (enough said on this one)
- Attend the trade sessions - it is an unparalleled way to expand your collection and meet some great people too
- Ask for help if you need it. There are a bunch of chippers that will be glad to assist a fellow hobbyist
