I fly back out of McCarran. But this is true of any US airport. And I don't take chances...whether or not I'm carrying chips. I understand the TSA's need to inspect carry-on baggage, but I don't like having all my personal items laid out on a table for all to see. That's why they're called "personal items."

If you want to take your chances, then go ahead. Slim possiblity of those in your security line being on the same flight? True, but it happens. There's also a very slim chance of hitting a royal flush, but that happens too.

I'm only offering suggestions based on personal knowledge and experience. Then again, I've been cursed with the Cassandra complex, so I don't expect many to follow my suggestion. Do what makes you happy.

And FWIW, the idea of sending things home via the USPatheticService doesn't sit too well with me either.
