in David's original post, or any of his posts thereafter. IMO he was being courteous and helpful. AIMO there are a large number of people on this board who do not care for postings without a full name. It is a fact that most people are more inclined to speak with people who's names they know. It is less threatening, and is the reason that people in Western cultures consider it polite to introduce themselves on first meeting, except, of course, VA doctors, who, IMO, and in many cases, don't work in the public sector because they have the beside manner of a rhinoceros.
Rob's response to David was not polite, and certainly not receptive to the fact that his chip may be a fake. David's tone was not an accusation, but was based upon experience, and was particularly gentle, considering he already knew it had the crack common to a removed and reinserted coin.
The threat by a unidentified new visitor to the board to withdraw a potentially fake chip from sale rings hollow. The man doth protest too much, methinks.
That's my 2 cents as an observer to this thread.
