Personally speaking, I think the $10 strikes are much harder to win now with the new cylinder type machines. I liked the old single bars lined up to win one strike, double bars wins two strikes and triple bars for three strikes. Many of the older strikes can be purchased at slightly above face value from collectors, but I don't see too many of the current strikes available at less than $14-$15 each. Then too, there are many casinos that have discontinued their silver strike program and no longer honor their own strikes for redemption ... which has substantially taken the glitter off them.
