I used to be associated with a group that had two annual mini-conventions, one on each side of the Mississippi (it moved around) and then a main convention. It was great because there was usually something going on close to home, or you could go to the big, national convention. Or both.

It'd be nice to see something in AC, or even one that moves around the Eastern/Central time zone... At the moment, its tough to get away to Vegas for any extended period of time
