I would be curious to know what you think of the iPhone as well. I went to the local Apple store here in San Diego the night of the release, not to buy one but to check out the craziness. It was incredible. Apple is one helluva smart company. Personally I own 2 iPods, a 3rd generation 15g ipod (earlier version) and one of the newer 30g Video ipods. Im on verizon and most people I speak to are also on verizon so its not easy or practical for me to switch to ATT. I would love to have an iPhone. The only problems I would have with it are the ear buds, I hate them things. You just cant get yourself a headset since the microphone is on the earbuds wire and the other problem is the carrier. Hopefully down the line after 2 years or so they will release it to other providers. I did play with the iPhone in the store and to call it amazing is an understatement. Google maps is wild, the stretching of the pictures with your fingers is incredible, the switching with ease of the functions is superb. Just wait, I am sure they will release a 2nd generation iPhone either by Xmas or early next year and the price will also probably go down. Just the way apple operates, smart company.
Rich, I hope you love it and get several years of enjoyment out of it. As for the battery, I am sure you can probably already do a google search and find out how to replace a battery on your own. I did it myself on my 3rd generation ipod, it was easy as hell and you can barely tell I opened the iPod. I think I read somewhere on the internet that a store or company called "Batteries Plus" can replace the iPhone battery. Anyways, I am sure that wont be necessary for some time. Since I dont own one I am only an outside looking in. Give us your review if you dont mind. Enjoy, Stay well
