He did not say he wouldn't bid on auctions on ebay, he said he would not bid on "private auctions." In private auctions, the identity of the parties is kept secret, thus making shill bidding and other deceptive practices virtually impossible to catch. I don't know if you set up the private auction or the starting price dictated it (I don't collect Landmark chips), but that is what is keeping Don, and perhaps others, from bidding.
