We have...and we went there once. Mostly, though, we've bought stuff that other people have found there. All the stuff we found was broken (DUH! It's a DUMP!! )
We kept this El Rancho Vegas "cup & saucer" anyway, as a souvenir of the 'adventure'.
(that is I kept 'em...and George makes me keep 'em in the basement! )
Here's a couple of my favorite pieces that were found at Sunrise. The dump was only open/used for a year or so, around 1951, so that pretty much dates everything!
Since the Flamingo opened at the end of 1946, I like to think that it's possible that this was one of the original plates...pattern/logo selected by Bugsy or Virginia. (Or maybe not.)
Remember your history...Sal Sagev is Las Vegas spelled backwards. And Sal Sagev was the name of the Golden Gate, before it was the Golden Gate. I love the downtown stuff!
