I sit here today and feel the need to defend my wife. At age 40 (14 years ago) she made the difficult decision to go back to school and get another degree, while working full time. Today she is a RN charge nurse at the largest hospital in NW Indiana. 2800+ employees.

While we don’t discuss a lot about her work due to privacy laws, I’m sure there are days spent keeping alive those who don’t deserve to be using up good air. Add to that, the number of hours spent caring for me; it’s like having two full time jobs. You will never hear her say a bad word about ANYONE. (anyone)

I’m sure there are many other wife’s out there who are also the pride and joy of their husbands. My wife is a winner. (THATS RIGHT SHE IS A WINNER)

While I try and keep all on top of my health within reason, not all gets told. 2 recent trips to the hospital have been made one for 4 days and one for a day. A few test, some medication adjustments, and things are ok, again. Having a seizure is no fun. It’s even less fun when your home alone and the neighbor finds you on the floor, hours later. Took over a week before I could eat.

So to my wife and all the other wife’s and husbands who are helping their spouses with this disease I say thank you for all the support.
