There were also a couple of red pairs from "West Side Club". There was also a white pair from West Side Club (which, to me, usually means illegal). My husband bought the three pairs (and left one or two pairs of each color).
Got home, and started to look:
The Gaming Table (audit edition) has a West Side Club, location unknown, mold: L's
TGT also has Westside Club, Las Vegas, Opened: 1943, Closed: yes
We don't have a 1943 phone book, but we do have 1939, 1944 & 1945. I looked in them... no listings for West Side Club or Westside Club.
Then I got out the Olsen/Johnson LV dice book. I was surprised to see West Side Club dice listed under Westside Casino. Then I noticed that Westside Casino had the same address as Westward Ho Casino.
The book lists the Westside Casino with an opening date of 1971, 'closed: no'. I looked in our 1973 LV phone book... no West Side or Westside clubs or casinos.
The font on our dice looks the same as the font on the dice in the book.
Any thoughts?????? (BTW, I used chalk to fill in the letters on 3 of our dice)
