Made my first visit to Yachats at least 50 years ago. Watched whales while fishing for Rock Cod as the years passed. Caught smelt as well. Chased hermit crabs in the tidal pools but the starfish were a lot easier to snatch. Took my honeymoon there and 24 years later my daughter took her newly wedded hubby from Fargo SD there too. Got a cd of their last trip to Yachats... with my three grandchildren. Don't know if it's God's country but I bet He's spent a week or two at that place by the turnaround.
