We've been following the story of Red Rock's re-emergence in the industry local scene since it started a few weeks back, and literally, as we type this, the inaugural installment of the Red Rock Retreat is taking place poolside a few floors below. The concept is an attempt for the property to reach out to industry locals and introduce them to the property as well as kick-start the new nightclub program at Cherry Nightclub and Pool, which has been enveloped under the Station Casinos umbrella. "We're really happy with this week's turnout," said one of the Retreat's organizers Natalia Badzjo, while scores of influential nightclub personnel lounged around the gorgeous Cherry pool. While the party officially begun Monday afternoon, Red Rock Resort enabled industry guests the earliest check-in possible, starting Sunday night, so that the Retreat could begin in a relaxed manner. "We have large parties from Tryst, TAO, Body English and Empire Ballroom," Badzjo continued, "as well as representatives from lots of other venues and industry driven organizations around town. For the first one, and to have over a hundred rooms booked to locals, it shows that these people work really hard and they are enjoying the opportunity to step back and enjoy each other's company without having to worry about dress codes or designated drivers!" The Retreat will continue later tonight with a bowling tournament in Red Rock Lanes before reconvening at Cherry Nightclub for a late night pool party, swimming allowed. "It has started off very mellow and very chill, but I'm sure it will get crazier later on," Badzjo added with a smile. "Plus, we still have another day by the pool tomorrow," thanks in part to Red Rock Resort's cushy late check-out. Don't worry, if you missed out, the Red Rock Retreat will return next week and continue weekly throughout the summer with new elements thrown into the loop as the promotion continues to grow. "We billed this party as an opportunity to party with Las Vegas' nightlife elite, and I think we have certainly done that!" With a who's who room chart that includes names like Waits, Hersch, LoPinto, Costello, Meyers, Saunders, Shindelar and Jay, they just might be onto something here. All the parties at Cherry Nightclub and Pool (Monday 12-6P, 11P-3A and Tuesday 11A-7P) are all open to the public.
